How do I sign up for PayPal?
Just click the Sign Up button at the top of the PayPal home page. After you fill out the registration form, we'll send you an email to confirm that you receive messages at that email address. Once you confirm your email address, your account is activated.

2. Fill out the one page signup form
3. Click Sign Up
4. Check your email inbox
5. Click on the link in the PayPal Confirmation email
6. Enter your password and click Confirm
7. You have finished signing up and may start using your PayPal account

How does PayPal work?
With PayPal, you can send and receive payments through the Internet. Once you sign up for PayPal, you can send money to anyone with an email address using the money from your PayPal balance or another funding option of your choice. Recipients are notified by email that they have received a payment.

How do I send money?
You can send money by going to the Send Money tab and filling out the form. When you send money you will be asked to choose a payment type. The payment types are:
- eBay Items An eBay purchase. You will be taken to an additional form to enter optional information such as your item URL, eBay Buyer ID, and a message for the seller
- Auction Goods (non-eBay): A non-eBay online auction purchase. You will be taken to an additional form to enter optional information such as your item URL, auction site, and a message for the seller
- Goods (other): A purchase of goods in a non-auction context
- Service: A payment for the performance of a service
- Quasi-Cash: The transmission of money not involving an underlying service or good. The bank that issued your credit card may treat this 'Quasi-Cash' transaction as a cash advance and charge you cash advance fees. PayPal has no control over these fees. If you select 'Quasi-Cash' you may want to use a payment method other than Credit Card (Instant Transfer or eCheck) to avoid potential fees

- Enter the recipient's email address, the amount, the currency, the payment type, and an optional subject and note
- Click Continue
- Review the information on the confirmation page and click Send Money to complete your transaction

How do I confirm my email address?
When you register, PayPal sends you an automatic email. By clicking on the link in the email, you will be taken back to www.paypal.com and asked to enter your password. Your email address will then be confirmed. If your browser has trouble with hyperlinks, you can also manually confirm your email address.
Here's How:
- Click on the My Account tab
- Click on the Confirm email link in the 'Account Overview' box
- Click the Click here if a link does not appear in the email link
- Check your email inbox
- Copy the Confirmation Number included in the email
- Paste the Confirmation Number in the box provided
- Click Confirm
- You have finished signing up and may start using your PayPal account

How do I close my PayPal account?
You can close your PayPal account from your Profile. If you close your account, all of your outstanding transactions will be cancelled immediately.
Here's How:
- Click on the My Account tab
- Click on the Profile subtab
- Click on the Close Account link in the 'Account Information' column
- Click Continue
- If you wish to continue, click Close Account
